De jure teachers’ authority is granted via charter contract with district and waivers from union. De facto teachers select their colleagues, although the district retains the right to fill unfilled positions.

WORK Institute works to prepare students for career and/or college bound success by combining academics with career curriculum. Students engage in project-based and community service activities within one of three career paths to prepare for senior year employability.
