De Jure and De Facto
De jure teachers’ authority is granted via charter contract with district and waivers from union. De facto the teachers select their colleagues, although the district retains the right to fill unfilled positions.
About the Learning Program
ALAS is a four-year bilingual high school with an emphasis on developing academic-level proficiency in both English and Spanish. Focus on social justice with the philosophy of working together to change the community in which we live.
