About the Learning Program

Northern Lakes Regional Academy is a STEAM charter high school located in Rice Lake, Wisconsin servicing students in and around Barron County. STEAM refers to Science, Tinkering, Engineering, Aesthetics, and Math.

At our facility at 33 Ann Street we have created a MakerSpace where students will have access to tools and skill development facilitating their ability to tinker and create.

Our goal is to encourage students to utilize science, technology, math, engineering, and the design principles to create innovative means of self-expression while contributing to the community. NLRA students will become problem solvers, innovators, creators and place-based collaborators.
