Designed for students with interrupted formal education who are new to the U.S., Emergence opened in 2021 and is SEZP’s most rapidly growing school.

By celebrating and growing the individual and collective strengths of its students — and rooting its program in anti-racism, equity, and liberation — Emergence accelerates students’ English language development as well as their academic, social, and emotional growth, and helps put them on the path to college and careers. The school also fosters partnerships with its families and works closely with community organizations that support immigrant and migrant families.
