Laurel Tree Charter School Proposal

States, counties, and school districts authorize chartered school contracts knowing that the contracts are written to formally authorize teachers’ collective autonomy. For some chartered schools, teachers’ collective autonomy is not granted via the contract but is instead formalized via the schools’ governing bylaws. In the case of Laurel Tree Charter School, a teacher-powered school, it is written into both documents, available here for download.

Laurel Tree Charter School is authorized by Northern Humboldt Union High School District.
