Teacher voice

noun

A popular and overused term, which usually means asking teachers’ opinions about a topic, decision, or policy. Teacher voice describes input, but not decision-making authority. It is thus distinct from teacher leadership, teacher collective autonomy, collective leadership, and in many ways antithetical to teacher professionalism.
