Servant leaders see their role as developing the inherent potential and purpose in all people, and clearing barriers they face. Unlike other forms of leadership, research and writing on servant leadership focuses less on questions of power and who makes decisions, but rather focuses on the development of human potential and the role of leaders in that development.
