Family engagement

noun

The practice of communicating and collaborating with families (and often, by extension, students and community members). The spectrum of what constitutes family engagement is wide and varied. On one side of the spectrum it can mean simple one-way communication about their students’ learning progress; on the other side it can mean deep, meaningful partnership with families and sharing power to co-create a learning environment.
