About the Learning Program

7 Rivers Community High School is a Project Based Learning (PBL) environment. 7R provides a dynamic approach to learning in which students explore real-world problems and challenges. PBL requires a structured process to build towards an authentic outcome. The PBL process fosters a hands-on, interest-based approach to developing skills, knowledge, and a passionate understanding. Through intrinsic motivation, the PBL approach creates a deeper level of comprehension and a greater capacity for self-awareness in the learning process.

"We are a dynamic, caring learning community that collaborates in leadership, critical thinking, and innovation." We value community partnerships and collaborations that are mutually beneficial for students and community organizations. We encourage (and require) community service and servant leadership components for successful graduation in 7 Rivers. Community partnerships and live source resources are a central part to true involvement at 7R.
